Dr. Dustin CurtsDr Dustin Curts completed his Ophthalmology residency at the Ivey Institute, Western Ontario in London ON, Canada.

He is an active Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC)

Dr. Curts completed several research studies including: “Assessing Change in Conjunctival Bacterial Species” & “Antibiotic Resistance Patterns Following Ranibizumab,” (Lucentis) injections.

Dr. Curts has presented at various optometric events on topics such as; “Dry Eye & Restasis”, “Multifocal & Extended Depth of Focus Lenses”, & “OCT Interpretations”.

He was instrumental at creating a pilot lecture series for third year clerks, which entailed large group discussions, and has become a permanent lecture series on surgical rotations.

Dr. Curts was involved in curriculum development with the Department of Ophthalmology Undergraduate Education. He designed lectures pertaining to undergraduate medical education in ophthalmology for students at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Dr. Curts is a lead author in a chapter of Vaughan/Ashbury’s Ophthalmology textbook (Chapter 20) “Causes & Prevention of Vision Loss”.

Dr. Curts has a busy, state of the art Ophthalmology practice in Owen Sound, Ontario and has operating privileges at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound where he performs cataract surgery.

His Ophthalmology practice focuses on general ophthalmology, cataract surgery, Medical Retina/Glaucoma and minor Oculoplastics.

Dr. Curts is very active in his community and enjoys hockey, hiking, cycling and truly enjoys the outdoors and living in the beautiful Georgian Bay region.
